“When I came to Sakuragicho, I felt nostalgic about school so I stopped by!”
JULIEN (France) is a 2020 graduate. It’s been a while since she came to Sakuragicho, so she stopped by YIEA.
Q. What have you been doing since graduating from YIEA?
I am working as a software developer in Japan.
Q. Please tell us about your time as a student at YIEA.
I often studied in the library before class. Although I had time to study, I wish I had found more ways to communicate with Japanese people.
Q. Did you not speak Japanese when you entered YIEA?
yes. I started from beginner level 1. I was able to pass the N2 exam, which was useful when I was looking for a job. There were many people in my class who were better at conversation than me, so I thought it was amazing.
Q. Do you have a message for YIEA students?
In addition to studying at school, I think it would be a good idea to spend time talking with Japanese people at local clubs. It’s easier to learn to have a conversation when you’re relaxed. I will continue to do my best.
Thank you, JULIEN, for coming to see us!
