Yokohama International Education Academy shall comply with laws and other regulations relating to the protection of personal information and shall handle all personal information with care. All staff members recognize that the protection of  personal information is a serious commitment and will do our best in our management of all personal information.

When obtaining personal information, we shall clarify to a reasonable extent the intended use and shall obtain personal information via appropriate and fair measures.

Management of Personal Information

We shall implement the necessary and appropriate security measures to safeguard all personal information and to protect against loss, alteration or divulgence of personal information.

We shall put in effect the appropriate management of personal information

through structured handling procedures and shall educate our staff to maintain

a high level of awareness regarding the seriousness of personal information


Use of Personal Information

The “personal information” referred to in this privacy policy are those information pertaining to an individual, such as their name, date of birth, telephone number, address, email address etc., which enables that particular individual to be identified. Information provided to us shall be used for the following purposes:

  • For procedures and formalities necessary for Immigration and visa processing.
  • For providing our support services and for enrollment management. (examples: daily assistance, career counseling, performance management, enrollment management)
  • For analyzing and maintaining educational standard and quality.
  • For collecting post-graduation data and for maintaining contact after graduation.

Third Party Provision

Unless otherwise provided for by laws and regulations, we shall not supply personal information to a third party without prior consent from the individual concerned.

Disclosure, Amendment, Suspension of Usage

In case of a direct request from an individual to disclose, amend, suspend usage or erase their personal information, we shall comply with such request within a reasonable time period in accordance with the provisions of the law.  Clear and definite confirmation of the individual’s identity will be required.
