May 5th is “Tango no Sekku”. We celebrate the boy’s growth and happiness. For example, a samurai-style doll called “Samurai Doll (also known as May Doll)” is displayed. The samurai doll wears a helmet on its head and armor on its body. Helmets and armor were used to protect the body during the Sengoku era, about 500 years ago. Therefore, we will decorate the samurai dolls with the hope that the children will grow up strongly and vigorously.
