YIEA is closed for the summer vacation, but prospective students are attending application information sessions to prepare for their applications to their preferred schools.
Students fill out the forms their self with teacher’s explanations, but it’s not easy because there are many things they won’t know without research, such as information about the school in their country and their family, and the information they must write varies from school to school.
Many schools also require the students to write an essay, including their reasons for applying and a self-promotional statement.
More schools are accepting online applications. Since students must type a lot of information in Japanese, it can be time-consuming and difficult if they’re not used to it, but students are working hard to achieve their goals.
