Senior Students Are Here to Help

2026.05.18Classes & Students

It has been over a month since the entrance ceremony in April. New students, have you settled into school life yet?

To support our new students, senior students and graduates volunteered as interpreters during the entrance ceremony and orientation. Interestingly, when these seniors were new students themselves, they also received help from senior students.

We asked some of the interpreters about their experience.

“Last year, senior students helped interpret for me, and it made things much easier. They also gave me a lot of useful advice about school and life in Japan.”

“Helping the new students reminded me of when I first arrived. I didn’t know much at the time, but senior students kindly guided me. This year, I wanted to do the same for the new students.”

“I received a lot of support from senior students when I was new, so I wanted to give something back by volunteering as an interpreter.”

“When I was a new student, I was very happy to meet and talk with senior students from my own country. That’s why I wanted to help and talk with the new students this year.”

New students, one day it will be your turn to help the next group of newcomers!
