Standard Japanese (student visa)

For students who wish to apply for a Student Visa.
Students learn techniques to pass the Exam for Japanese University Admission, and the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, while at the same time developing a natural conversation ability, all based on a foundation of integrated Japanese studies. Morning and afternoon classes available.

Qualifications for enrollment

12 years of formal education or equivalent, as well as the ability to provide certification required. Exceptions are possible for students who do not intend to pursue admission to an institute of higher education.
*Applicants must at least understand hiragana, katakana, and simple greetings before they start classes.

Course overview

Elementary level (6 months) JLPT N3 level

Advanced level (6 months) JLPT N1 level
  • Advanced expression ability for public speech, debate, and written composition

  • Ability to understand lectures in vocational or graduate schools

Course content

  1. Solid class focus
    • Students learn kanji, vocabulary, reading, grammar, writing, listening, and conversation.All four communicative skills are developed.
    • Vocabulary and grammatical items that appear on the JLPT N1 and N2 are naturally acquired through in class exercises.
    • Guidance and mock exams are stressed for students preparing to take the EJU.
    • In-depth tutoring is offered for students writing application essays, and preparing for interview tests.
    • A focus on Japanese humanities, and manners and customs, is incorporated throughout the coursework.
  2. Supplemental study of subjects (physics, math, etc.) that appear on the EJU offered.
  3. For students who are at an appropriate level of Japanese and wish to enter graduate school in Japan,a special preparation class is available.

*Applicants for the January term must be at JLPT N4 level before enrolling.

Notes:
  1. All bank transfers must be made in the name of the student.
  2. Enrollees must complete payment of all school fees for the first year before receiving the “Certificate of Eligibility.” Students who start in January must pay for their full 1 year 3 month time of study in one payment. Payment in installments is only permitted in special situations.
  3. Tuitions and school fees are non-refundable; exceptions are as stated by the “Guidelines for Acceptance of Students by Japanese Language Institutes”.
  4. Students with student visa are enrolled in student insurance for the duration of their enrollment. Additionally, they are required to be enrolled in national health insurance.
*Terms of the student insurance may be subject to change at the behest of the provider.
*Tuition will be adjusted in the event of changes to the consumer tax rate.
