Standard Japanese (other visa)

For students who hold visas other than Student Visa
Students learn techniques to pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, while at the same time developing a natural conversation ability, all based on a foundation of integrated Japanese studies. Morning and afternoon classes available.

Qualifications for enrollment

Applicants must have residence status in Japan, or be able to attain residence status (ex. temporary vistitor, spouse of Japanese national, etc.)
*Applicants must at least understand hiragana, katakana, and simple greetings before they start classes.

Elementary level (6 months) JLPT N3 level
  • Master basic grammar, communication skills
  • Master pronunciation
  • Master daily conversion
Intermediate level (6 months) JLPT N2 level
  • Master coherent discourse
  • Short essay composition
Advanced level (6 months) JLPT N1 level
  • Advanced expression ability for public speech, debate, and written composition
Seminar (6 months)
  • Ability to understand literary works

Course content

  • Students learn kanji, vocabulary, reading, grammar, writing, listening, and conversation.All four communicative skills are developed.
  • Vocabulary and grammatical items that appear on the JLPT N1 and N2 are naturally acquired through in class exercises.
  • A focus on Japanese humanities, and manners and customs, is incorporated throughout the coursework.

Application and admission

Students may enroll at anytime. However, beginners should join at the start of each term in April, July or October.
Enrollment must be for at least 2 weeks. Please refer to the school calendar for admittance dates.

Notes:
  1. All bank transfers must be made in the name of the student.
  2. All school fees for the intended period of study must be paid in full before start of the course. Tuitions and school fees are non-refundable; exceptions are as stated by the “Guidelines for Acceptance of Students by Japanese Language Institutes”

  4. All students must be covered by insurances valid in Japan for the duration of their enrollment.
  5. For students who require them, the school will issue a “letter of admission” and a “course schedule”. The school will not be able to issue any other documents. Please confirm the necessary documents for visa application with the Japanese consulate in your home country before applying.
